It’s Better OFF to be safe and Seen is all about ensuring that now the mornings and nights are getting darker you have the information and equipment you need to ensure you can still enjoy the benefits of walking or cycling to work, whilst remaining safe.
The event and offers were open to both Staff and Students.
During the event COGZ offered up to 20% off cycling safety items, like lights, helmets, locks and high visibility clothing.
On the day COGz carried out around 40 free bike MOT’s and donated a goody bag of Cycle Safety equipment, this was won by Zoe Stockdale.
Security and the Community Support Officers attended to carryout bike tagging and registering, they tagged and registered over 60 bikes at the event. As well as selling a number of bike locks.
The It’s Better OFF team gave away around 60 high visibility jackets at the event, with further requests coming in.
