  2. Type \\printers.lboro.ac.uk and press ENTER.

"Follow Me" Printing Instructions

At the PC

To Print, from the File menu or tab select Print.

Select the required printer. This will be Staff-Mono for monochrome printing, or Staff-Colour for colour printing (unless your department has a special setup).

Notes

The mono printer is set to default to duplex (two sided) printing as this saves paper and money. You can choose to not print duplex if you wish by changing the setting in Print Properties when you print the job. If you are printing work to be handed in, you may want to first check if duplex is acceptable.

The colour printer is set to single sided by default (people often want to print photographs and posters), but you can use Print Properties to change this.

Anything left in the queue unprinted for five days will be deleted.

Duplex (two sided) printing is cheaper than 2 single sided sheets.

The colour printer automatically detects colour and mono pages, so if you send a job to Staff-Colour that has some colour and some mono pages, it will automatically charge

Another way to save money is to print more than one page on each sheet. See Advanced Printing below.
