  1. Who do you currently host services for?

    We currently host services for both external organisations such as Sport Park tenants and the Innovation Centre as well as internal departments such as Finance, Facilities Management, the Engineering Subject Centre, IMAGO etc and also research groups such as the Applied Vision Research Centre.

  2. Where are they hosted?

    The servers are physically hosted on campus in one of our machine rooms which are fully air conditioned, alarmed and have power management systems in place to ensure servers are fully protected.

  3. How much does it cost?

    Prices vary depending on the amount of servers, the amount of data and what kind of back up and disaster recovery options are needed. A guide to pricing is available.

  4. Can I have physical access to my hosted server / servers?

    Yes this can be arranged within one working day but is not normally needed as remote access can be given from both on and off campus.

  5. What networking will be provided?

    Services which qualify to go onto the Joint Academic Network (JANET) will do, otherwise alternative networking solutions will be investigated, for more information on JANET read the JANET Acceptable Use Policy.
