Registration for postgraduate research is through departments. The Faculty consists of nine departments:

- English and Drama
- Politics, History & International Relations
- Geography
- School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences
- School of Art and Design (LUSAD)
- Social Sciences
The Faculty is responsible for the Research Training Programme
