Electronic and Electrical Engineering
Research within the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering is divided into the three areas of Communications, Energy and Systems (links shown in lefthand menu).
UK national statistics show that we have one of the highest percentages of research income from industry sources. Our cooperative links are extensive, and include some of the world’s leading technology companies including Rolls Royce, Scottish Power, BP, Schott and BAE Systems. Currently, our turnover is around £3M each year, arising from partnerships with industry, government organisations and the European Commission. The UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) is a key sponsor, and currently supports a wide range of research projects in our Department.
