Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering research is centred on strong, well established links with the construction, transport, utility industries and the international development organisations. The research and training environment is designed to create ideas that inform and lead to best practice. The commercial value of innovation and enquiry as well as fundamental knowledge underpins research and teaching in the Department.
Research is based in the Department of Civil and Building Engineering and is is split into two key areas:
- Water and Waste Management
- Transport and Infrastructure
