The Cultural and Media Analysis Group has a variety of interests, including citizenship, cultural studies, European communication, identity, racism, discourse and journalism, political communication, sensory knowledge and practices, and social exclusion.

The Discourse and Rhetoric Group has interests in a very wide range of topics where discourse, language and rhetoric play a crucial role. Among these are representations of reality, ideology, gender and sexuality, cognition, conversational practices, institutional talk, emotions, help lines, mediation, the construction of intellectual impairment, poststructuralism, psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.
