MPhys Projects in Quantum Information Science

  1. Thermodynamics of Black Holes
  2. Comparison of the thermodynamics of normal objects and black holes to find differences. In particular, to estimate the entropy of the black hole.

  3. Thermodynamics and Phase Transitions in Dark Matter
  4. To investigate possible phase transitions in gravitating dark matter which arise in the cosmology of the early universe.

  5. Semiconductor Superlattice as a Novel Device for Generation of THz Radiation.
  6. In particular excitonic effects must be investigated.

  7. Chaotic Transients in Josephson Arrays and Quantum Computing

To investigate chaotic transients in simple systems such as SQUIDs.
