Opening of new Advanced Friction Materials Laboratory

The team led by Dr Houzheng Wu specialise in the development and testing of Advanced friction materials, including carbon ceramic composites which can offer significant savings in weight and reduce the stopping distance. Other advantages include extremely long service life leading to unique re-use oppotunities for this type of brake disc.
During the event visitors wre shown around the new facilities and viewed an exibition of the latest braking component technology.
