The group studies a wide range of aspects of dynamical systems theory, such as Hamiltonian and dissipative dynamics, adiabatic invariants and bifurcation theory. Applications include problems of celestial mechanics, rigid body dynamics, plasma physics, semi-classical methods, hydrodynamics, atomic physics, and the dynamics of chemical reactions.

The dynamical systems group holds seminars in the mathematical physics seminar series.
