Our spin out companies

Our three spinout companies also provide professional services

Antrum

Antrum is expert in telecoms design, development and testing using its high specification research and design facilities to develop innovative telecommunications products, specialising in unobtrusive aerials

Axilica.

Axilica provides software that for the first time allows the design of computer chips to be carried out entirely using software, enabling computer chip based products to be brought to market more quickly, easily and cost efficiently.

Dialog Devices

Dialog Devices design and develop non-invasive bio-medical technology. The company has developed a revolutionary quick and painless diagnostic device called ‘PADD’ to ‘see’ below the surface of the skin, and measure peripheral blood circulation. This will allow early and easy identification of changes that could lead to diseases, allowing earlier diagnosis without the need for specially trained staff.

Specialist Services

Software
Over the years the Communications Division has amassed a substantial degree of expertise in the authoring of simulation software useful in the study of electromagnetics. We are therefore often able to provide solutions to bespoke problems very quickly.

In addition to this we also enjoy strong working relationships with all of the leading software providers who are keen to have their products used to best effect. The majority of the division's PhD students benefit from immediate access to cutting edge software to assist with their research.
