Degree Programmes

The Department has friendly, helpful staff, and is spacious and well equipped with modern facilities in a central location on the University Campus.

Our success in teaching and research means that we have facilities to take more students on all our exciting MChem and BSc honours degree programmes, including the single honours Chemistry programmes and the more specialised Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Chemistry with Analytical Science programmes. Furthermore we run a joint honours programme, Chemistry and Sports Science, in conjunction with Loughborough University's world-renowned School of Sport and Exercise Sciences.

We also offer a 4-year 'Chemistry with a Foundation Year' route for those students who are not suitably qualified (e.g., it is not essential that you have studied Science post-GCSE) for direct entry to the first year of our honours degrees. Please telephone, as below for further details.

Professor Mortimer (Admissions Tutor) and colleagues are available to advise you, and to discuss your opportunities at Loughborough for the study of Chemistry at degree level.

You may like to attend one of our Departmental Prospective Student Visits to help you make your final choices.
